Hema at Copenhagen Medieval Market

Hey all

It  is time once again this year to sacrifice our blood, sweat and tears to  promote our weird hobby, and hopefully shanghai a few people to join  our ranks.

The  event is going to be sparring/showcasing like usual, and is open to all  skill levels/clubs. I will try to be more organized this year (yeah  right) and actually plot people into "shifts" but more on that later.

in the meantime here is some DO's and DON'Ts for first timers

DO: - bring your own gear if you wanna fight (if you don't have it may be possible to borrow if you don't mind sweat) - bring a water bottle (There are water posts around) - read up on your history as you may need to man the display - be aware that we are showing our sport to normal people. Pretend to be normal. - ask the guy with the furry hat what honey is - have fun

DON'T: -  Be afraid to join as a beginner, if you don't have gear talk to me or  an instructor, there may be possibilities. There is always room for  help. - bring +1s (non-fencers) without notifying me first. With ticket it is ofc fine. - leave the camp unattended. Again i plan to schedule shifts for this
